Financial Controller
|
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
This position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Prepare daily G/L interface, journal entries, monthly closings, and bank and vendor statement reconciliations.
Implement the financial policies of the company in order to maintain a financially strong and disciplined organization.
Guide the development of a financial strategy to include revenues, profit maximization, cash flow, and cost reduction.
Implement accounting systems, reporting methods and controls, policies, and procedures.
Respond to Corporate VP of Finance as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate companys financial needs
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred.
5-10 years of progressively responsible Finance experience.
Public accounting experienced required.
Financial reporting experienced a must.
Strong technical accounting expertise.
The ability to consult and advise company personnel on a range of issues related to accounting, financial reporting, internal control and regulatory matters ,
Experience in a fast growth, progressive and customer-centric organization,
Excellent communication skills,
Must possess strong management, motivational, and interpersonal skills to partner with business community.
